International Workshop on Geospatial Data Management and Quality Control Held in Tianjin
The International Workshop on Geospatial Data Management and Quality Control was held from 12-16 December 2016 in Tianjin, China. The Workshop was jointly organized by the National Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation (NASG) of China and the Secretariat of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM). It attracted more than 90 participants from the national mapping authorities of 20 countries. Dr. Li Pengde, Deputy Director General of NASG and Co-Chair of UN-GGIM, attended the Workshop and gave an opening speech.
During the five-day workshop, country experiences in geospatial data management and quality control were shared among the participants. Presentations and discussions were made on such topics as geo-informatization system development, cloud platform of spatial-temporal information for smart city, upgrading the datasets in NSDI for smarter services, construction of geodetic datum and quality control, national geographic conditions monitoring and quality control, process quality control of UAV photography and its applications, networked surveying, mapping and geoinformation quality inspection platform, application of SSW system on quality control of geographic data products, web-based geoinformation service and application, as well as engineering survey and quality control.
