Li Pengde Attended the Cambridge Conference

The Cambridge Conference 2017, with the theme of “Mapping Nations: The Next Decades”, was held in Oxford, UK from 2-6 July 2017. The conference attracted more than 100 representatives from over 40 countries. The participants explored the challenges of the national geospatial information authorities from the perspectives of economy, society, technology and philosophy, and discussed how to adjust to new changes, seize new opportunities and accomplish transformational development to cope with these challenges. Dr. Li Pengde, Deputy Director General of NASG attended the conference and gave a presentation on Data Underpinning Smart Cities. After the conference, the NASG delegation paid a technical visit to the Austrian Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying and the Department of Geography, University of Vienna, and participated in the 40th Meeting of the GEO Executive Committee held in Geneva, the Switzerland.
